About
Dr. Patrie was born and raised on Long Island. In 1996, he completed a bachelor of music in cello performance at Oberlin Conservatory followed by graduate music studies at Brandeis University and New England Conservatory. Dr. Patrie played cello professionally in Boston for several years before transitioning to dentistry.After receiving his D.D.S., in 2005, from Stony Brook's School of Dental Medicine of New York, Dr. Patrie gained advanced training for an additional two years as a resident and then chief resident at Stony Brook's General Practice Residency. While in private practice Dr. Patrie served 3 years part-time as clinical assistant professor at Stony Brook's School of Dental Medicine. As a faculty member of Stony Brook, he also provided regular dental care at the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton.Dr. Patrie lives in Setauket with his wife and two young boys. He still enjoys playing cello, banjo and kiteboarding.
